This view from the Negev Desert was shot from the top of Mount S'dom near the Dead Sea. The magnification of the disk of the sun was achieved using a telephoto lens and photoshop layering. No color correction was done - only the compositing of 3 separate images from the same location at the same time. This created this HDR effect resulting in the large solar disk.
