The Olive Bridge at the Ashokan Reservoir in the Catskills was the location for this single-frame image. The shot was planned using Photo Pills to virtually see when the Milky Way would be at the correct angle. Shot in mid-summer at 1AM in the morning, the Milky Way was perfectly aligned with the trees and the bridge with nearly perfect converging lines.

The shot scored over 80 in local competition.

Shot on Nikon D750, 17-35 wide-angle zoom at 17 mm, 30 second exposure, ISO 1600. The bridge was light painted with a flashlight.
